Google Claims That Chrome Browser Now Reloads Web Pages 28% Faster

Short Bytes: When a web browser reloads a web page, around hundreds of network requests are sent to various domains to validate the content of the web page. Google has updated Chrome browser to validate only the main resource while reloading. It will make the page reload process around 28% faster.
Anew update to Google Chrome web browser will make web pages reload 28% faster from now. They have made small changes to the reload feature which has so far remained unchanged since years.

When you click the reload button, the web browser validates all the links and content present on the web page to see if they’re fresh or not. Thus, it has to initiate numerous requests for a single web page.
In earlier times, web page had a tendency to break more often. The reload acted as saviors in such cases. With time, websites on the internet have become more stable, and the use of the reload button is now confined to update stale content on the web page.

An update made to Google Chrome commands it to update the main resource only while reloading a web page and rely more the cached data stored on the users’ computer. Chrome will be able to reload web pages around 28% faster and reduce data usage, power consumption, and latency.
What is your experience with Google Chrome? Drop your thoughts in the comments.

How Your Android’s Pattern Lock Can Be Cracked In Just 5 Attempts

Pattern lock on Android smartphones is probably the quickest and easiest way to gain access to the device. A group of researchers has a created a computer vision algorithm which is capable of cracking complex pattern locks with an accuracy of 87.5% after analyzing a video recording. As a protective measure, you can use fingerprint input method on your smartphone.
Afew days ago, Fossbytes wrote about the list of the most popular (dumbest) passwords of 2016. You might be wise enough to consider a tough password for your devices and online accounts. But if you think that pattern lock is more secure than common passwords, your thinking will change after reading this story.

According to a new research published on Phys.org, it possible to crack a smartphone’s pattern lock in around five attempts, after which the device gets locked. It is possible by recording a video of people entering pattern lock on their phone.
The story isn’t as childish as it sounds. You’re not supposed to decipher the pattern from the video afterward. But a computer vision algorithm developed by the researchers – from Lancaster University, Northwest University of China, and the University of Bath – is assigned to do this task.
The algorithm can work with an accuracy of more than 80 percent for complex patterns and crack them in 5 attempts. In fact, they were able to crack simple pattern in the first attempt with 60 percent accuracy.
The software doesn’t even need to look at the screen to crack the pattern lock. It understands the movements of user’s fingers relative the smartphone from the video. After analyzing a video, the algorithm suggests a bunch of possible patterns.
Overall, a total of 120 unique patterns were checked. The researchers note that patterns involving more lines and complex shapes are easier for the algorithm to crack.
The attack can be done on any smartphone. Pattern locks are primarily used on the smartphones running the Android operating system. In the case of iOS devices, Pin lock is mostly used.

How to protect yourself?

It would be hard to protect your Android or any other smartphone from the digital eyes out there in the wild. Recording a video of you entering your pattern lock on your Android smartphone is an easy task for any shoulder surfer in subways.
If we consider a practical scenario, even if a person records a video, it would be hard to gain physical access to your smartphone.
If your Android smartphone has a fingerprint sensor, you can prefer it over the pattern lock. Alternatively, you can cover your fingers while entering the pattern lock. Moreover, keeping a simple pattern lock help as the algorithm finds it difficult to crack.
Did you find this helpful? Drop your thoughts in the comments.

See The 4 Best Remote Desktop Extensions for Chrome

You may not know it, but the Chrome browser is actually a very powerful platform for application developers. Many applications have been created over the years that run directly on Chrome. Remote desktop applications are no different. There is a whole bunch of Chrome apps that can be remotely connected remotely.

That's why we've made this list to cover the best remote desktop applications for the Chrome browser. Keep in mind that there are many other desktop applications and extensions for Chrome, but this list only focuses on the most popular and reliable applications.

Users looking for the simplest and fastest way to access a remote computer with Chrome should consider using the desktop client of Google's official distance. It is very easy to connect to remote computers. All major operating systems are supported (MacOS and Linux variants).

Chrome Remote Desktop simplifies sharing your own computer or access to another person directly over the Internet and even supports the plug's pins for faster access. When it comes to Chrome Remote Desktop Tools, the official client is clearly the best and everyone should check.

TeamViewer is a name that everyone knows, for good reason: they have been around for a while and help many people remotely access computers in the world (and have done so for years). Through this program, it is possible to access the contacts, computers, support TeamViewer chat and much more.

Those looking to access computers or share possible you want to go with this application for Chrome. Why? Everyone has heard of TeamViewer, and because many people will already be installed on their system. This means that users on the other end will not have to change their workflow, and the ability to remotely access computers can be done with Chrome.

3. VNC Viewer for Google Chrome

VNC has been around for a while and most are already familiar with the technology. With VNC server configuration, users can easily access remote computers over networks and the Internet. The introduction of VNC Viewer: a Chrome application that facilitates access to remote computers through VNC.

There are not many attractive features to talk about, but it is possible to connect to unlimited hosts and work offline. VNC Viewer may not be the most convincing, given the choice in this list, but if you want to access the VNC desktop, this application is an excellent choice.

Remote computer access can be a pain, especially when the person in need of help does not want to play with programs for all jobs. That's what makes Zoho Assist Free Remote better. It is a free remote support tool for Chrome and works very differently than other apps on this list.

Clicking on the app in the Chrome bar invites you to complete an email. From there, the remote user receives a link to join the shared session. The good thing about this is that the Zoho Assist link will guide you through a detailed process of how to install the program and how to get to the connection.

With its amazing ease, Zoho Assist supports all the basic tools you would expect from a remote desktop tool (professional chatting, full screen, resolution settings, etc.).

conclusion
As tedious as this tends to be, remote desktop applications are a godsend, especially when it's easy to install directly in a browser. Computers are complicated and some users who need help (especially older ones) can be difficult to install remote access programs. So it's as easy as adding it to Chrome, life gets easier, and remote support can get you started!

How To Read a PDF file on Google Search Page Without Downloading

Countless times, Google displays the results to the search words as a PDF file instead of a link to a particular web page. Yes! This has its advantages. You can download the file on the local storage for offline purposes. But how many rushes PDF files that you downloaded before providing the relevant information you need.

I remember when I was writing literature for my project year-end, I had to download hundreds of PDF documents, read them offline before taking the decision to keep the most relevant or eliminate irrelevantly.

This download, the reading process and eliminating waste two precious resources: time and data. However, the good news is that there is a way you can read the PDF file you see on the results page of Google search online without downloading. Believe me, read it online does not consume your data and easily access the contents of the document and then decide to download or not.

How I can know that a result in Google is a PDF and not a web page?

Knowing this is easy! In the front of the particular result, you will see the acronym "PDF" enclosed within a square bracket. This means that the link is PDF and when clicked, the file is downloaded.

So to be able to open the document online without downloading, follow the steps below.

Opening and Reading PDF file on Google Search Result Page

  • Open Google search page in your preferred browser
  • After opening the page, input the word or string of words you want to search

  • Instead of clicking on the PDF link in the result page, click on the green triangle turning upside down.

  • Clicking on the triangle will bring out two options: Cached and Similar, and all you needed is the Cached option

  • Right Click on the Cached option, and click on Open Link in New Tab. You are opening the link in New Tab because you want the PDF to open in a New Tab, and not override the search engine result page

  • Click on the New Tab to see the contents inside the PDF file

That's! Now you can read the contents of the document and the decision is now in your hand to download the PDF if you think your content is relevant to your search.

Now you should be able to read the content in a PDF file on a search results page without having to download it. I know you may have a better way to do so, please do not hesitate to use the comments section to share his method with us.

Google Allo Passes Five Million Downloads On Android

Google allo hits five million downloads on android

The Google Allo, an application mobile instant messaging developed by Google that includes a virtual assistant and provides a function of "intelligent response" that allows users to respond without writing now has raised more than five million downloads on Android alone. It was announced at the Google I / O on May 18, 2016, and released on September 21, 2016. The application is available on Android and iOS.

Google is a machine with more than a little influence who does what in this digital age. Whether through YouTube, Android, Search, Maps, Mail or any of the many other companies Big G, the company can reach everyone with an Internet connection. Given its experience and leverage, it should be easy for the company to beat a chat application Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp iMessage or state, right?

Well, I do not think. Allo not seem to be the murderer service that has attracted as much attention to the concerns of E / S on privacy and how the new Assistant AI function collects data to do its thing, did not help. But put those issues aside, Google faces an uphill battle to keep allo Duo and relevant in a crowded market where most consumers already have their designated applications.

Let's take a LOOK WhatsApp

WhatsApp Messenger is a proprietary, encrypted instant messaging client platform for smartphones. Use the Internet to send text messages, documents, images, video, user location and audio messages to other users using standard cellular mobile numbers. In February 2016, WhatsApp was a base of one billion users so it is mostPopular mail application.

HOW ABOUT THE FACEBOOK MESSENGER..

Facebook Messenger, sometimes abbreviated Messenger is an application service and instant messaging that allows voice communication and text. Integrated with web function and integrated Facebook chat in the open MQTT, Messenger allows Facebook users to chat with friends on both mobile and on the main site. Facebook reported that Facebook Messenger has reached one billion monthly active users.

MOVING FORWARD, LET’S PEEK INTO SNAPCHAT..

Snapchat is a means of communicating messages and the moving image that has evolved into a mixture of private messages and public content, including brand networks, publications and live events such as sports and music.

In May 2012, 25 images were sent per second, dated November 28, 2012, users have shared more than a billion photos in the iOS app Snapchat, with 20 million photos shared daily.

Well, I just dug up all these statistics to let Google know there is still much work to be done to compete with the big guns and start counting statistics BILLION well.

Do you see Allo Google competes with the likes of the above principles?

Google Duo Pushes Out Hangouts In Android OS Pre-Installed Apps

When Google launched Duo there two months ago, the message to the world was clear, Google is moving his attention from other messaging applications to the new Duo and messaging application Google AI-powered known as name allo .

Google Duo

Google Hangouts is the first to be expelled. In an email to every Android phone makers, Google Hangouts informed them that they would be replaced by Duo gaming applications that are delivered on the Android operating system.

To understand how this work, Google Mobile Services (GMS) is the place to go. When OEMs decide to use the Android operating system on their devices, they must sign a license agreement with Google through the SGM.

The agreement essentially means they want to do as Play Store applications on their devices, which should include other Google applications. These applications are delivered on the Android operating system.

That's why all Android phones that come pre-installed with Play Store also have other pre-installed Google Apps that are sometimes impossible to remove because they are system applications.

Google Hangouts lost out to Duo

Hangouts December 1 will no longer be part of these preinstalled applications. Duo takes place. Manufacturers may choose to include in their devices if Hangouts, however.
Google's initiative is likely to be the first step through Hangouts rest forever. Hangouts was launched three years ago with great promise. There was everything from messaging video calls. As for the features, which has more of them than Duo is strictly a video call applications for smartphones.

After trying Duo, I can say it is a fact that Duo is not bad as far as to call their other contacts Duo. But not offer anything special so you can make me change the likes of Skype.

Users of iOS devices'm sure no hurry to start using Duo instead of Facetime soon. Because, as I said above, Duo does not offer something attractive to go for what they are accustomed.

Duo app in action

Duo app in action

Google Allo other side could be the next big thing. Hello Google, Google uses its huge database of what you know about our online habits to create a great mobile assistant.
Allo is currently a trend that people are familiar with the novelty of having a conversation with a machine.

Why not replace Google Hangouts with Allo as it seems to do so?

I guess there is a hierarchy of how applications are promoted by Google. A system based on the application being launched. A sort of first come, first served. And since Duo was launched before Allo, Allo is only being promoted to Google mobile services before Allo.

On the other hand, it could be because Duo need much help to become what Google wants it. After the initial euphoria that accompanied the launch of Duo Duo downloads have minimized. People returned to what worked for them.

Android apps

Allo, on the other hand it seems to do very well. While it is too early to make a judgment on how Allo is contagious. But the vibrations seem to be in favor of Allo.

Google must be prepared to play the game time here and be patient with Duo. Although from December pre-installed all new Android smartphones Duo, there is no guarantee people use the application. It would be useful however.

How long would the world have to wait before they also pre-installed on Android app Allo? And Google application you will give way to believe Hello?

Time would reveal everything.

THE INFINIX NOTE 3 X601 SPECIFICATIONS AND PRICE IN NIGERIA

Infinix Note 3

The Infinix Note 3 is another set of monster Infinix Note. With a 6-inch screen, you can call this phone safely monster phablet. But the screen is the only powerful thing about this new device? We will see in the post.

First of all, this phone is a new phone because it did not increase a month on the market. As usual in the "note" of the devices, this phone is great and features a powerful battery that can easily last an entire day on a single charge. We spend specifications Note 3.

Infinix Note 3

The Infinix Note 3 is the first of Notes Series sports a Full HD display sports 1080 x 1920 pixel screen that will allow a strong and colourful screen with deep blacks and bright white. If it will take a toll on the battery 4,500mAh it is something we have not determined as we have not had the opportunity to put the phone through a battery test.

Something that certainly did not like the note 3 is 1.3GHz processor MTK cheap Infinix chose to give us in this device "Note". Meanwhile, we liked to upgrade the RAM from 1GB to 2GB much more reasonable to compensate for the lackluster processor.

The camera is another point on the focusing device. 13 MP pixel camera is attached to the back of the device that we hope to achieve clearer images. We have not tested the device camera. On the front is a 5MP shooter with a "Soft Flash". This is certainly good news for autofocus lovers among us.

Storage is comparable to what we expect devices Infinix. We get 16 GB of storage with support for SD cards up to 128GB. Unlike hot Infinix S, the SD card slot is not duplicated as a second SIM slot is grateful given the warm S.

infinix-note-3-rear

Another point of sale device is the Android 6.0 marshmallow that comes with the device. It is good to see Infinix away from Lollipop.

The device is compatible with 4G LTE lucky, but I doubt it will be useful in Nigeria as our Internet service providers are not updated their services. Currently 4G Nigeria is also glorified 3G, but hopefully, it will not be the case for long. Finally, look at the specs of this monster machine.
