The laptop has a 13.5-inch display with a resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels, which places pixel density at 267 pixels per inch. Not only does the screen support touch, you can write on it with a Surface Pen.

The Surface Book is an innovative move from Microsoft and they have claimed that their new laptop is “the most powerful laptop on the planet.”
One interesting thing about the device is it has a detachable display that can even be attached backwards. There’s a quirky hinge that has a flexible dynamic fulcrum design, and it attaches the display to the keyboard.

At the front of this device is a 5-megapixel camera which supports Windows Hello face-authentication, and an 8-megapixel camera is slapped at the rear. The Surface Book comes in a number of variants, each with different processors (Intel Core i5 and Intel Core i7), varying RAM (8GB RAM and 16GB RAM) and storage space (128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB).

Microsoft is promising better battery life and better performance wih its new hybrid laptop. The price of the Surface Book starts from $1499 and, depending on your desired choice, could go up to $2699.

APPLE REVEALS IOS 9 LAUNCH DATE

Apple has announced that iOS 9 will be released on 16 September and will bring a swathe of updates to the operating system that powers iPhones and iPads.

The beta version of iOS 9 has been available for a few months, having been made available to developers and enthusiasts back in July. It will ship on the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, which will launch on 25 September.

iOS 9 is more of an evolution of iOS 8 and the flat, parallax-infused design language established with iOS 7 back in 2013.

However, iOS 9 does add a raft of new features to Apple’s mobile operating system.

These include improved battery life, bolstered security, context-aware search, and a reduced file size to make installing the operating system an easier process for devices upgrading from iOS 8.

Key features include a smarter version of Apple’s virtual assistant Siri, which gains a new user interface and the ability to be more of a proactive assistant when handling the one billion requests it handles per week.

Siri is able to deal with requests in a more contextual fashion, making suggestions based on a user’s location or what is currently on the screen of an iPhone or iPad.

One example of this would be asking Siri to remind a user of a website when they get home, for which it would use location data to carry out the request.

The new iOS also gives the native Maps app an overhaul, adding a new subset feature called Transit that provides specific information on public transport.

Enterprise users of iPads can also rejoice at the addition of split-screen multitasking for iPads, which as one would expect, allows users to have two applications squeezed on a single screen.

To make installing iOS 9 more practical, it has been given the ability to delete apps then reinstall them automatically to make updating from iOS 8 a smoother process.
