Google has finally laid to rest rumors concerning the name of the next Android OS. The OS which has been flaunted for some time now as Android M – finally got outed as Marshmallow 6.0. Aside the name unveiling, Google also released the finished version of the SDK of Android 6.0 as well as a third (and the final) Marshmallow software preview which can be loaded on Google Nexus devices. To keep receiving consumer OTA updates such as the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, you will need to manually re-flash your Nexus Android device to a factory image.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow brings some great updates like easier handling of permissions (while still giving users more granular control over what information apps can access), also brings Google’s new Android Pay mobile wallet platform, supports latest evolution in USB (Type-C), and there’s also quite a variety of tweaks and improvements throughout the operating system.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow is the successor of current heavy-weight, Android 5.0 Lollipop, which brought significant user interface and visual changes to the software last year and is loaded on millions of Android smartphones.
