Lists of Samsung Devices that We Get Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS Update

Some weeks ago, Google officially disclosed the android 6.0 M OS to be termed as Marshmallow. While the OS is already available on Nexus Devices as previews, we are still anticipating the official roll out of the update.

So far so good, Google hasn’t officially reviewed precisely when the update will be rolled over. However, it is expected that the android 6.0 OS upgrade will be rolled out before the end of the year as Nexus devices are currently running the final preview.
As the launch approaches, Samsung has confirmed its first set of devices to receive the update. Based on the list, virtually every latest phone from Samsung within the past one or two years will be getting the update. However, it is not quite clear why the Samsung Galaxy S5 didn’t make the list.

According to SlashGear, Samsung has confirmed that the following devices will likely get the android 6.0 OS update when launched;

¶ Galaxy Note 5
¶ Galaxy Note 4
¶ Galaxy Note 4 Duos
¶ Galaxy Note Edge
¶ Galaxy S6 Edge+
¶ Galaxy S6 Edge
¶ Galaxy S6
¶ Galaxy S6 Duos
¶ Galaxy Alpha
¶ Galaxy Tab A

According to the source, the above report is a full comprehensive list of Samsung devices set to receive the update FOR NOW. The report also added that chances are, more devices will get the update when rolled out. Hence, if your device appears not to be on the list, calm down, chances are, it may get to you. We just have to wait till the Operating System is officially launched and only then, will there be more concrete report on which devices will get the android 6.0 marshmallow update and which won’t.
