MTN Set To Roll Out 4G LTE Service In Nigeria By July 2016

MTN, despite rolling out mouth watering offers lately, is set to launch it’s Fourth Generation Long Term Evolution (4G LTE) service in Nigeria by July 2016.

This isn’t actually the first time MTN will be rolling out a 4G LTE service. I mean, the service is currently ongoing in South Africa and recently, Cameroon. Thankfully, it is launching in Nigeria soon.

This announcement was made by the MTN Group on twitter stating that the 4G LTE broadband services will be rolled out in July 2016 in selected cities.

MTN recently acquired Visafone LTD for about N47.5 Billion. Thereby giving room for the company to use it’s 800MHz frequency hopefully to roll out the 4G LTE network connection in Nigeria.

Hopefully this will come as a replacement for NTEL who is still currently playing hide and seek game in Lagos, Nigeria.
