Huawei Launches Innovation And Experience Center In Nigeria

Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd, a Chinese networking and telecommunications equipment and services based in Shenzhen, Guangdong and the largest manufacturer of telecommunications equipment in the world after overtaking multinational company Ericsson launched in 2012 "innovation and Experience Center Lagos, Nigeria.

Abdul-Raheem Shittu Adebayo; Chinese Consul General in Lagos, Mr. the Chao Xiaoliang; CEO of Huawei Technologies Nigeria Ltd., Mr. Li Beifang; Vice Chancellor of UNILAG, Prof. Duro Oni, as well as executives from leading operators.

This center of innovation and experience has been built on 500 ㎡, and the total cost of the Centre amounted to $ 6 million. It was established under the concept of "cloud"; allowing visitors to share global resources of Huawei. All industry players are invited to participate and enjoy their unique content. It is set to be a center of expertise where people can attend global best practices, exchange ideas, explore solutions business through innovation and as a platform for developing ICT eco system win-win. The latest in advanced ICT such as 4.5G, Internet of Things and innovation of digital services will be deployed on this platform.
During his speech, the Chinese Consul General in Lagos, Mr. Xiaoliang Chao said the following:. "I sympathize with Huawei in the successful launch of the Innovation and Experience Center Chinese companies like Huawei, are willing to share their experience in ICT innovation to stimulate social and economic development of Nigeria.
